    Area Air Logistics Pricing Specialist to join our Air Logistics team.

     

    Your Role

     

    Maintain air freight rate, trucking rate and handling costs databases and market intelligence within the area in conjunction with area + national air logistics management and gateway management.

    Your Responsibilities

    + Liaise and work closely with Global/National/Regional Air freight Pricing network and Global/National/Regional Key Account Managers on assigned global/local pricing requests in the following capacities:Complete requests per US pricing strategies under the guidance of US Pricing Management.Manage and compile area collection of local origin and destination and airport to airport. Distribute feedback and provide consultation to/from business unit + sales on client pricing strategy, formats, requirements, supporting data and market intelligence etc.

    + Support National and Regional Air freight activities as necessary and directed by management.

    + Prepare structured, professional tenders that are tailored to the specific requirements of the customer and their respective industry

    + Prepare spot quotes for shipments using KN systems

    + Communicate with KN vendors/partners to gain rates for tenders and spot activity

    + Handle high volume of requests daily in a timely manner/follow deadlines

    + Quote, analyse and manage pricing for air import/export customers (existing & new) using software driven solutions

    + Maintain existing business and generate new clientele

    + Develop strong working relationships with carriers, clients (external and internal) and teammates

    Your Skills and Experiences

    + Proficient in English (verbal & written)

    + High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Forwarding preferred but not required.

    + Minimum 1 years of pricing and/or freight forwarding experience (air export experience a plus)

    + Solid knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities

    + Demonstrable advanced working knowledge of MS office, primarily Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot tables etc)

    + Strong critical analysis & negotiation skills

    + Strong problem solving skills & Profit conscious

    + Ability to quickly learn other company specific programs

    + Excellent communication and organizational skills

    + Ability to thrive in a busy environment and meet deadlines

    + Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, within team guidelines and procedures, towards global organizational goals

    + Highly organized & detail oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline- driven environment

    + Strong operational knowledge and analytical skills in the air freight pricing field.
