    JOB SUMMARY: setting up, operating, and maintaining Formax machinery and related equipment to produce parts, while adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures. Receives, selects, stores, and loads products and/or materials. Safely operates all material handling equipment. Accurately completes all associated paperwork. Maintains clean work area consistent with company standards.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    + Inspects incoming and outgoing product.

    + Reads labels and associated documents printed in English.

    + Counts and calculates using basic math skills.

    + Lifts, carries and stacks product up to 75 pounds at a height of up to 7 feet.

    + Maintains high focus in an environment of many obstacles and distractions.

    + Uses push/pull motions in building pallets up to 8 feet high.

    + Operates electric forklift and electric, stand-up rider pallet jack.

    + Maintains productivity and accuracy according to engineered work standards.

    + Cleans work area using a mop, broom, or electric sweeper vac.

    + Due to the nature of our 24-hour business, work schedules vary.

    + Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:

    Education/Certification:

    High school diploma or equivalent

     

    Forklift certification required within 30 days of employment

    Experience:

    Entry Level . . . OR . . . Previous experience in a fast-paced, food-grade warehouse, safely operating material handling equipment.

    + Endure working in both non temperature-controlled and temperature-controlled environments (chill @ 35 degrees, freezer @ -05 degrees)

    + Perform accurate, visual inspections

    + Quantity of Work – Level of production in comparison with others in the work group or with established standards.

    + Housekeeping – practice of maintaining a clean work area.
