    Description

    Technicians perform Jiffy Lube’s Signature Service Oil Change, conduct a 17 point vehicle inspection, perform routine preventative maintenance, and service and maintain fluids and minor services. This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success.

    Qualifications

    Previous experience is preferred with a minimum of 1-year automotive service at a dealership, repair shop, tire center, or quick lube. However, we will consider a strong candidate with some automotive experience or Vo-Tech training.

     

    Job Duties Include, but are not limited to…

     

    + Performing Jiffy Lubes’ Signature Service oil change

    + Conducting 17-point Report On Condition visual safety inspection

    + Servicing filters, light bulbs, wipers, tire rotations & other minor services

    + Flush & fill coolant, transmission, power steering and other vital fluids

     

    Once you’ve become certified, you will be eligible for advancement opportunities and training in other positions [Plus Tech-Mechanic, Service Advisor and Supervisor-Key Holder].

    Physical Qualifications

    Lube Technicians must expect to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces, like concrete or metal, and expect to work in an environment in which you may frequently experience hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes.

     

    Other physical qualifications include...

     

    + Must be able to operate equipment such as overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns, transmission machine, air conditioner service machine, radiator service machine, hand tools and basic shop equipment

    + Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 25 pounds

    + Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed

    + Complete all required training courses through Jiffy Lube University

    Salary Description

    $16 to $17 per hr
