Description
The maintenance mechanic performs a full range of assignments using independent judgement to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations. Troubleshoots repairs and maintains heavy machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Typical duties and responsibilities include the following
+ Industrial mechanical/ pipe fitting/ hydraulic repair
+ Welding, machining and other fabrication
+ Rigging, aligning machines and belt and pulley drives.
+ Various preventative maintenance tasks
Qualifications:
The following qualifications are desirable:
+ Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
+ Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks on heavy equipment.
+ Capable of pipe fitting and hydraulic repairs.
+ Be willing to work off-shifts, weekends and overtime if required.
+ Experience maintaining heavy industrial machinery.
+ Welding experience or certifications
Special Requirements:
+ Be able to climb ladders and comfortable working in elevated environment.
+ While performing the duties of this job, will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts
+ May be exposed to wet or humid conditions.
+ May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
+ May be regularly exposed to high noise environments.
+ May be exposed to extremely dusty environments.
+ May be exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process
+ Must be willing to enhance and learn new skill sets.
+ Actively participate in safety initiatives.
