Description
This role is the primary finance business partner for the Le Labo brand for the North America Region, working closely with leadership and commercial teams, and will lead Le Labo North America strategy and long-range plan development process, providing financial support and anticipate trends, proactively drive value opportunities, manage risk and assess investment opportunities. Globally, this role will support Global Brand Finance lead in developing guidelines for the Strategic long-range plan, annual budget, and ensure actionable strategic choices are put in motion to deliver brand’s priority goals. Key areas of responsibility include strategic planning, annual budgeting, P&L management, and monthly estimate deliverables. The Director will provide financial support and extensive analytics to the North America Region Le Labo Business Management teams.
Responsibilities – North America Region
Strategy & Planning
• Own the development of brand’s Long-Range Plans (LRPs) across all business segments (Channel/Category/Retailer) and identified pivots / actions needed to deliver the brand’s LRP for the region. Track progress on key strategic initiatives throughout the year.
• Lead annual budget process for the region. Ensure resources are aligned to support and enable growth initiatives and effectively drive cost efficiencies to continue to deliver profit growth objectives.
Financial Analysis and Forecast
• Fully Understand key drivers of performance across channels, categories and markets and support identification of growth risks and opportunities, including pricing impact and market performance.
• Perform variance analysis on sales, gross margin, operating expenses, and profit; identify root causes for deviations and drive corrective actions.
• Evaluate performance of new product launches, OPEX and Capital investment effectiveness and recommend changes to support growth objectives
• Play a leadership role in the SIOP meetings and actively support the Demand Management process. Manage inventory levels and maximizing value chain creation
Financial Leadership and Partnership
• Provide financial leadership and dedicated support to deliver optimum results for the region. Establish internal review processes to provide business visibility to teams.
• Be a key enabling business partner and invaluable source of brand expertise.
• Regular visits to markets to keep close in touch with local business realities.
• Act as a liaison between ELC North America Region and Brand regional management teams.
• Cascading ELC regional directions and actively working with ELC regional teams to maximize brand potential and support ELC North America region to deliver its goals.
Responsibilities – Global
Provide support to Global Brand Finance Team in annual strategy, annual budget, monthly estimates, and monthly business reviews as well as regular & ad hoc analytics. Key responsibilities include:
• Assist Global Brand Finance lead in preparing and issuing budget / strategy guidelines and coordinating with regions in completing budget / strategy process
• Assist in preparation of Annual Budget Presentation Package, Long Rang Plan Packages and supplemental schedules for Senior management.
• Preliminary review of monthly performance reports including YTD actual results and MPR deck for brand and senior management meetings.
Qualifications
• MBA in Finance preferred
• Minimum 6-8+ Years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis experience including full P&L management and budget development
• Experience in fast-moving consumer products industry
• Strong financial forecasting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; OneStream, SAP, Tableau,
• Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and to multitask
• Ability to work in a dynamic and matrix environment
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including ability to build relationships across functions
