AVP Data Platform & Business Intelligence - REMOTE

Job Description

The AVP Business Intelligence & Data Platform's primary focus is leading and developing the overall Business Intelligence Vision. This position is responsible for creating a strategy to achieve/accomplish that vision. This role requires a broad set of data analytics and business intelligence experiences, as well as strong interpersonal leadership skills. This leader works directly with customers (existing and prospective) and other business leaders to ensure that business intelligence needs of the organization are met.

Responsibilities

+ Directs the activities and focus of the Business Intelligence towards key business priorities and strategic initiatives.

+ Remains current on industry and data knowledge to guide/recommend appropriate BI solutions.

+ Leads changes and enhancements to business processes, policies, and IT systems.

+ Oversees projects, people, customer expectations, and business priorities to achieve segment goals.

+ Directs and manages staff through the solution creation methodology to support necessary throughput and discipline for supporting the business intelligence needs of the organization.

+ Selects and builds strong teams through formal training, diverse assignments, and coaching, mentoring and other development techniques.

+ Manages the selection, evaluation, contracting, and integration of externally available Business Intelligence solutions as needed; manages vendor relationships.

+ Directs the development of tactical and strategic plans to satisfy business needs of the organization.

+ Manages budgets, plans and expenses; has cost center responsibilities.

+ Shares best practices throughout the organization.

Education & Experience

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems.

+ 10 + years of experience in analytics, informatics or business intelligence.

+ Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

+ Mastery in the disciplines of Data and Information Management, including depth of knowledge of current trends in the business intelligence industry.

+ Financial Planning (Budgetary) Discipline.

+ 15+ years of a combination of Technical Design, Architecture, Project Management, People/Team Management.

+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

+ Strong organizational skills.

+ Knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Iterative methodologies for development.

+ Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) Experience.

+ Return On Investment (ROI) Analysis experience.

+ Experience Managing both large teams and leaders within large teams.

+ Strong Project Management disciplines.

Physical Demands

+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to "move or traverse"

+ Must be able to constantly operate a computer and/or other office productivity equipment

+ Must be able to hear and constantly communicate information and ideas. Must be able to exchange accurate information

+ Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Potential pay for this position ranges from $164,000.00 - $279,000.00 based on experience and skills.
