Responsibilities

+ Develop and implement goal-directed treatment plans for assigned patients utilizing in-depth evaluation and physician orders

+ Establish realistic, objective functional goals based on patient/caregiver goals and overall discharge plan

+ Supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, OT students, and OTA students on a routine basis

+ Educate patients/caregivers on occupational therapy services, treatment procedures, and treatment goals

+ Prepare for client discharge in a timely, thorough manner, including patient/caregiver education, home visit, recommendations for home modifications and equipment needs, and procurement of recommended equipment

+ Maintain a working knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics

+ Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

+ B.S. or M.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution or B.S./M.S. degree in related field with an Occupational Therapy certification from an accredited institution

+ Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas required

+ Current CPR certification required

+ Must pass all pre-employment and employment verifications
