Job Description
Are you ready to dive into the fascinating world of sleep medicine? If you're passionate about helping people improve their sleep and want to gain hands-on experience in a busy Sleep Center, this is the perfect opportunity for you! As a Sleep Tech Trainee, you’ll receive expert training while working closely with our skilled team of Registered Sleep Technologists and Board-Certified Sleep Medicine Physicians. You’ll be conducting overnight polysomnograms and other advanced sleep studies—helping our patients get the rest they need while learning from the best in the field.
What You'll Do:
+ Train and work under medical supervision for up to 1638 hours, performing overnight polysomnograms and other complex sleep-related procedures.
+ Be an integral part of our busy Sleep Center, closely collaborating with seasoned professionals in sleep medicine.
+ Get hands-on experience with sleep data collection, CPAP titration, and scoring.
+ Learn the ins and outs of sleep staging and data analysis while making a real difference in patients' lives.
Minimum Requirements:
+ High School diploma or GED.
+ Must maintain current BCLS certification for continued employment.
+ Must be enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP Online Self-Study Modules. (Don’t worry, if you’re a non-registered tech, you’ll need to complete these within 2 years of enrollment.)
+ Stellar verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency in basic computer knowledge.
+ To level up: You must successfully complete all the registry exam eligibility requirements and obtain your Polysomnography Registry within 24 months!
Bonus Points for:
+ RPSGT/RST eligible, CNA, PCT/A, RMA, CMA, NRCMA, or any other BRPT-accepted Allied Health credential.
+ One or more years of clinical experience with direct patient care.
+ Previous experience with sleep data collection, CPAP titration, scoring, and stage recognition.
+ MSLT and MWT experience (you’re one step ahead if you’ve got this under your belt!).
