    AVIONICS SENSORS TECHNICIAN – 2ND SHIFT

     

    The sensors assembly technician is responsible for mechanical, electrical assembly and test of transducers and sensors used by all SpaceX vehicles and spacecraft.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Mechanical/electrical assembly and test of transducers

    + Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions

    + Use various mechanical tools with minimal instruction

    + Collaborate with production engineers to develop and document activities

    + Ensure all preventative maintenance is performed safely and on time

    + Identify early signs of equipment and process degradation

    + Operate advanced machinery for processes such as wire bonding, resistance welding, laser welding, epoxy dispensing, proof testing, and thermal cycling

    + Run functional testing on electromechanical devices

    + Build development parts and provide feedback to the engineering team to simplify the build process

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    + High school diploma or equivalency certificate

    + 1+ years of experience using mechanical hand tools

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast-paced work environment

    + Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills

    + Occupational trade school qualification in an electrical based field

    + 2+ years of experience with industrial electrical and/or electronic wiring or harnessing

    + Demonstrable hands-on skill in fault finding and problem resolution

    + Meticulous attention to detail with hands-on work

    + A demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical and electrical drawings, manuals and reports. Experience navigating assemblies in 3D CAD

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    + Must be able to work the following shift:

    + Monday to Friday, 2:15PM – 12:30AM

    + Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position

    + Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted

    + Must be able to work with automated equipment

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

    Pay range:

    Avionics Sensors Technician /Level 1: $22.00 - $24.50/hour

     

    Avionics Sensors Technician /Level 2: $24.00 - $29.00/hour

     

    Avionics Sensors Technician /Level 3: $27.50 - $35.00/hour

     

    Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

     

    Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
