The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Litigation Center is the litigation arm of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, advocating for free enterprise in the courts. The Litigation Center represents the voice of the business community as amicus curiae and as a party to litigation. We file over 200 amicus briefs in state and federal courts each year. And we bring lawsuits on behalf of the U.S. Chamber to challenge anti-business laws and regulations.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to the attorneys and operations at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Litigation Center, including scheduling, internal and external communications, event planning, and tracking legal work.
Responsibilities:
+ Plan, manage logistics, and support a variety of virtual and in-person events, including out-of-town events.
+ Track information, including answering phones, routing calls, responding to routine matters, entering and maintaining up-to-date information on members and prospective members, and overseeing legal and case-related work.
+ Manage and update internal documents and member materials.
+ Draft, proofread, and handle communications with member companies and law firms, other organizations, and Chamber staff.
+ Schedule internal and external meetings for Litigation Center attorneys.
+ Coordinate travel arrangements, logistics, briefing materials, and expense reports.
+ Assist with marketing and communications, including member and external fundraising materials, website updates, blog posts, and social media.
+ Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years’ administrative experience.
+ Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
+ Ability to exercise sound judgment, handle confidential information, anticipate needs, and work independently and collaboratively.
+ Ability to interact with high-level executives and their staffs both internally and externally.
+ A strong client service ethic.
+ Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
+ Experience at a law firm or as an executive assistant preferred.
+ An interest in policy, law, and politics preferred.
The anticipated start date for this opportunity will be June or July 2025.
The salary range for this position is $50,000.00 - $62,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
