    The role!

     

    Position: Maintenance Assistant

     

    Pay rate: $20 per hour

     

    Hours: Part-time, 15 hours weekly (Monday-Friday, preferably either 5am-8am or 4pm-7pm)

     

    Summary & Responsibilities

     

    The Maintenance Assistant will maintain the physical condition and safety of our Beverly Day Program. Includes cleaning and providing quick and cost-effective maintenance repairs.

     

    + Performs general maintenance

    + Moves furniture with assistance as necessary

    + Replaces light bulbs

    + Cleans bathrooms, kitchens, and office areas of debris/litter

    + Cleans and sweeps floors as needed

    + When needed, assists in any way to clean home location, and if needed for special project, will assist in maintenance at other Communitas locations

    + Assists as needed to perform light plumbing tasks; unclogs drains and toilets, repairs leaky faucets, etc.

    + Paints

    + Other related duties as assigned

    + Attend agency trainings as required.

    Qualifications

    + High School diploma or equivalent required

    + Knowledge and experience of maintenance procedures

    + A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must

    + Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

    + Must pass company background and reference checks
