    Qualifications of a Paramedic:

    + Valid New York State EMT-Paramedic certification required

    + NYC REMAC Paramedic Certification required

    + Any and all other requirements for the position as determined by the New York State Department of Health or other regulating agency or statute

     

    Duties & Responsibilities of a Paramedic

     

    + Treat all patients in accordance with NYS Basic Life Support Protocols (BLS) and applicable regional and local Advanced Life Support (ALS) protocols

    + Be friendly, helpful, and professional throughout all interactions with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public

    + Inventories and services ALS supplies and medications in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

    + Operate ALS equipment including IV Pumps and Ventilators

    + Maintain a clean and fully stocked ambulance per NYS DOH requirements, restocking supplies at the end of each shift

    + Must be able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or more

    *Employment is contingent upon a background check and pre-employment drug test*
