    PDS Tech Commercial is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated **Mechanical Assembler (Deburring)** to join a leading aerospace manufacturing team in **Carroll, Iowa** . This **full-time, 12-month contract** opportunity on **Second Shift** offers the chance to contribute directly to the development of high-precision aerospace components in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

     

    What You’ll Do – Make an Impact from Day One

     

    As a Mechanical Assembler, you’ll learn to perform key deburring and air grinding operations to ensure the quality and precision of aerospace parts. Under general supervision, you’ll gain hands-on experience and grow your technical skills while supporting a variety of mechanical assembly and inspection tasks that help keep our manufacturing lines moving smoothly.

    Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:

    + Reading and interpreting **blueprints, drawings, specs, and diagrams**

    + Operating **hand tools, electrical tools, measuring equipment, and cutters**

    + Performing **deburring and cleaning** of parts to meet high-precision standards

    + Conducting **quality inspections** and reporting defects

    + Reworking or repairing products based on engineering updates

    + Maintaining a clean and organized **workstation inventory**

    + Lifting parts (up to 40 lbs) and sitting for extended periods (up to 8 hours/day)

    + Following **safety procedures and quality standards**

    + Supporting **EHS, Quality, and Continuous Improvement** initiatives

    + Collaborating with technicians, supervisors, and engineers

    + Willingness to work overtime or extended shifts as required

     

    What You Bring to the Team

    Required:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Willingness to learn and grow in a hands-on environment

    + Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform tasks in a seated position

    Preferred:

    + Prior experience in **manufacturing, assembly, or deburring**

    + Comfort using various **tools and measuring instruments**

    + Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions

    **Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
