    This role in summary

     

    Assist with initiatives such as quality planning, problem solving, field return evaluation, supplier non-conformances, manufacturing process improvements, and corrective and preventative actions.

    Your responsibilities will include

    + Provide technical support through assigned activities such as, leading MRB/non-conformance tasks

    + ECO review and approvals, product test, process audit, data gathering and analysis and problem solving.

    + Apply statistical techniques to troubleshoot manufacturing and supplier processes and perform technicalevaluations such as Capability Studies, Control Charting and Measurement System Analysis Studies.

    + Perform tests, inspections and tear down evaluations of field returned units (RGAs), production units and/orcomponents to determine cause of failure. Provide reports, data, analysis and charting as assigned.

    + Participate on process improvement teams and/or project teams as directed.

    + Assist with the quality related activities (PPAPs, DNs, NMRs, 8D & A3, Workmanship Std dev, coordinating pilot runs, etc.).

    + Work direct, guide, instruct and monitor others as directed.

    + Perform other job duties when short of resources (Receiving inspection, process and order fulfillment audits, etc.)

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in quality, manufacturing or technical field.

    • Ability to accurately measure parts using micrometers, gages, or other precision instruments.

    • Ability to read/understand/apply written instructions, procedures, and technical standards, including production

     

    part drawings, engineering specifications and other technical requirements.

     

    • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing, and the ability to communicate with all levels of management and with suppliers.

    • Basic to intermediate competency with Google applications (Sheets, Docs, Mail, etc.)

    • Ability to participate effectively in a team setting.

    • Basic to intermediate working knowledge of quality planning and problem solving tools, i.e. FMEAs, control plans, flowcharts, A3, 8D, etc.

    • Maintain competency in current Quality procedures, methods and equipment.

    • Thorough and meticulous work habits, positive attitude and a high degree of initiative. Ability to adapt and apply skills to a variety of processes and products as assigned.

    • Successfully pass the Quality Auditor Test

    Preferred skills and experiences

    • Post high school classes in Quality Assurance / related technical field preferred.

    • ASQ certification as a Certified Quality Technician preferred. Expected to enroll and achieve certification.

    • Experience with ERP systems including Oracle application preferred

    • Basic team leadership skills and experience preferred.

    • Experience with Minitab

    • CMM measurement experience
