    Summary:

    Our Global Security organization is comprised of multiple teams that work together to support our operations around the globe. From buildings and servers, to prototypes and ideas, we ensure Meta’s physical and intellectual assets are safe and secure and make informed decisions to protect Meta’s reputation. The Global Security Area Manager is responsible for reducing risk, responding to incidents and overall direction & leadership of the on-site security team. Supports and executes global physical security programs, initiatives, processes, and best practices to build a safe and secure environment. Builds cross-functional partnerships across the data center team and Meta by communicating team goals, wins and opportunities to maximize safe and secure work environments. Cultivates external partnerships with local and state law enforcement, federal agencies, third party vendors and community organizations.

    Required Skills:

    Global Security Area Manager Responsibilities:

    1. Accountable for leading and providing management oversight of the onsite Data Center Physical Security program (DCPS) at the data center in support of all designated security activities.

    2. Responsible for the development and oversight of any additional Global Security Full-Time Employees (FTE) assigned to the site.

    3. The Global Security Area Manager (GSAM) is responsible for being an active member of the site Circle of Leadership (COL), they will act as a trusted advisor to the business and participate with the other organizational leads to make decisions which driving site-based operations and resourcing for all teams.

    4. The GSAM is responsible to provide security leadership direction to support all site-based events, they will ensure that the site security team maintains a plan to support all ongoing operations, projects and construction milestones.

    5. Accountable for ensuring the DCPS team adheres with all Global Security Policies, Protocols, SOPs, and Post orders.

    6. Responsible for the execution of and assisting with Global Physical Security strategies to include enforcement of business conduct and integrity standards, employee safety and security, investigations, crisis response, business continuity and interaction with the security industry and government partners.

    7. Regularly engages with and communicates updates to the site Circle of Leadership (COL) and other key partners, advising on incidents, emerging risks, and other issues that may impact Meta data center operations, employees, or vendors.

    8. Works closely with the Global Security Operations Center and the Global Security Investigations and Intelligence Team to anticipate, identify, and evaluate risks to the Meta data center.

    9. Accountable to ensure that the Data Center staffing requirement is aligned with the Global manning model and help to ensure the security vendor is recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and retaining highly qualified team members in accordance with the statement of services.

    10. Responsible for ensuring security operations meet expectations of team and company audit programs.

    11. Accountable for delivering results on assigned projects aligned with team best practices.

    12. Responsible and accountable for managing the site security budget and quarterly forecast as set out on an annual basis in accordance with leadership.

    13. Required to carry out any other additional functions or tasks as assigned by the Regional Manager or Global Director.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    14. 5+ years of site/campus security management experience

    15. Planning, organizational, and motivational experience

    16. Experience drafting in technical and non-technical formats

    17. Experience presenting both extemporaneously and in formal settings

    18. Experience in root cause analysis, industry benchmarking, survey evaluation and data interpretation

    19. Experience in the areas of emergency/disaster management, physical security, critical incident management, risk management and business resiliency

    20. Experience with emergency procedure protocols and regulatory interfaces

    21. Knowledge in physical security strategies, principles, standards, policies, and procedures

    22. Experience with security technologies including Video Surveillance, Access Control, and Incident Management Systems, Security Operations Centers

    23. Bachelor’s degree

    24. ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certifications

    25. Safety & Security management experience in a Data Center environment

    26. Experience working with or in support of communities with wide-ranges of experiences, perspectives, approaches, and backgrounds

    Public Compensation:

    $109,000/year to $157,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
