    FTE Sports Physical Therapist (The Star, Frisco)

    40 hours per week, based on clinic needs

    Job Description:

    Duties/Responsibilities

    + Performs examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention, and outcome in accordance with standards set by profession’s national association, scope of practice and hospital policies and guidelines.

    + Provides age-appropriate and family-centered care in accordance with current evidence and practice standards, provider’s prescription and protocols and regulatory standards.

    + Completes documentation per departmental and hospital policy.

    + Demonstrates skills sufficient for effective verbal and written communication with providers, patients of all ages and their families, hospital staff members, and other professionals.

    + Supervises therapy aides, students and volunteers in order to maintain patient safety and regulatory standards.

    + Participates in formal or informal education of new employees, students, volunteers, and members of same and other disciplines.

    + Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team to enhance outcomes for patient care through individual patient care coordination as well as education and research activities.

    + Participates in professional development activities.

    + Expresses interest and ideas for participating in research projects, performance improvement processes, and outcome studies.

    + Participates in community activities, programs that benefit patients or program that encourage wellness for our staff and the community.

    Required Skills/Abilities

    + Current licensure to practice in the State of Texas in applicable profession.

    + Successful completion of training in accredited program in applicable profession.

    + Certification in BLS.

    + Recent graduate to 1 year of experience
