Description:
Position Purpose:
At **Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center** **,** we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Inpatient Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, ensuring optimal healing and patient comfort.
What you will do:
+ Assess and evaluate patient wounds to develop and implement individualized care plans.
+ Perform wound care procedures, including cleaning, dressing, and debridement.
+ Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
**Minimum Qualifications** :
+ **Education** : Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
+ **Registered Nurse RN Licensure:** Valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure is required.
+ **Experience:** A minimum of 3 years of Medical-Surgical, Wound Care, or Critical Care nursing experience in an Inpatient Acute Hospital Setting is required.
+ **Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN):** Certification in wound care (CWCN) is required or must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
+ **BLS or CPR certification:** Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.
