Description:
Position Summary:
Coordinates service line with Endoscopy Staff, Sterile Processing, Sales Representatives, and Physicians within the specialty. Proficient in the duties of the Endoscopy Nurse and performs a clinical role as needed. Embraces and promotes system values to ensure customer satisfaction and excellence in patient care.
What the Endoscopy Service Line Lead will need:
+ Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
+ Current Michigan RN license.
+ Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
+ ALS Certification required
+ One year of experience in specialty.
What the Endoscopy Service Line Lead will do:
+ Demonstrates clinical expertise in the service line.
+ Facilitates the operative day, with Charge Nurse, by focusing on the assigned rooms, coordinating care, coordinating communication to families, organizing reliefs, problem solving, and planning for future cases.
+ Acts as primary contact for sub-section chair and physicians in service line. Attends section meetings as directed. Brings pertinent information from section meetings to appropriate surgical staff.
+ Acts as a liaison to Materials Coordinator, Sales Representatives, Physicians and other departments for instrumentation, supplies and equipment related issues. Monitors stock with Supply Chain.
