    Job Summary and Qualifications

    SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Obtains quality mammograms with the ability to adapt to specific patient morphology.

    + Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self. Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment. Operates radiographic equipment safely and competently.

    + Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (i.e. Meditech). Ensure proper charges are entered and referring physicians orders are verified.

    + Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.

    + Prepares examination rooms for mammography procedures. Monitors inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance.

    + Demonstrates knowledge of quality assurance and assists the supervisor in the implementation and documentation of all policies and procedures mandated by the FDA through MQSA.

    + Reviews each exam for technical accuracy (i.e. markers on images, technical quality, anatomical positioning, annotation, etc.) at workstation. Completes verification process in PACS.

    + Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties such as film and report filing and answering the telephone when appropriate.

    + Completes and maintains educational requirements.

    + Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patient information according to Policy and Procedure

    What qualifications you will need:

    + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

    + State Registered Radiologic Technician

    + Registered Radiographer (ARRT)

    + Registered Radiology Technologist Mammographer

    + Vocational School Graduate
