Always Best Care Charleston is now seeking caring, compassionate, pet friendly caregivers to work with us in providing exceptional in-home care to seniors, allowing them to age in place and maintain as much independence as possible, for as long as possible. We currently serve the tri-county area, with the majority of our clients being in Charleston County.  Seeking Caregivers Who:  • Are reliable, dependable, honest and caring  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families and office staff  • Have a valid driver’s license, car insurance and can drive to clients’ homes  • Are able to recognize changes in their clients and be able to alert proper personnel when necessary • Are pet friendly!!! Major Responsibilities:  • Provide care and companionship to the agency’s clients in accordance with the care plan.  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL’s) in a safe and beneficial manner.  • May be required to perform light housekeeping. • May be required to prepare meals.  • May be required to take clients to appointments or run errands.  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:  • Must be able to function with minimal supervision. • Must maintain a professional relationship with the client.  • Must pass a background check with satisfactory results.  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. • Must possess effective communication skills.  Other Requirements and Qualifications: • Must be dependable, trustworthy and reliable  • Able to work an average of 20-40 hours per week.  • Able to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours per day.  • Able to lift 20-30 pounds.  Benefits:  • Flexible hours, full time work available  • Premium Holiday Pay  • Paid Time Off • 401(k) retirement plan & 401(k) matching • Referral bonuses provided for caregivers referred  Always Best Care is a premier provider of home care, helping to improve the quality of life for those in our communities as well as provide meaningful employment opportunities.
