The qualified candidate should have a broad interest in Medical Genetics and Genomics including experience/expertise in diagnosis and management of inborn errors of metabolism and a research focus with potential collaborations across campus including the Program for Personalized and Genomic Medicine and the Institute for Genome Sciences. The successful candidate should have an established track record of federal grant funding and current NIH funding. The Division has a collaborative relationship with the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and is a primary site for the Department’s Pediatric residency training program, participates in teaching students in the School of Medicine (UMSOM), and is directly involved in graduate student education in the Master’s in Genetic Counseling Training Program and the Human Genetics graduate program. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
