    Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking an Engineering Technician Intern to join our team!     This person will be participating in an on-the-job learning environment. This position is located at Picatinny Arsenal.

     

    What will you be doing?

     

    This position will be a key member of the Prototype Manufacturing team. Duties to include On the Job Training for:

     

    + General welding and joining

    + Operation of manual machining, milling and turning

    + Operation and setup of CNC machinery

    + Capable of performing basic shop tasks

    + Support engineering activities

    + Assists with day to day needs of the shop

     

    What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

    This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

    + Pass drug and alcohol testing

    + Must have good mechanical skills and experience

    + High standard of quality and efficiency

    + Effective communication and interpersonal skills

    + Solid knowledge of shop mathematics

    + Must be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordingly

    + Basic PC knowledge (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

    + Must be able to work in a physical capacity, lifting and moving heavy object

    + Must be a US Citizen

    + Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a government driver’s license

    + Working towards a High School diploma

    + Currently enrolled in a high school, metal working/welding class

    + Must have at least 2 years in high school metal working/welding class or equivalent experience

    + Knowledge of CAD systems a plus

    + Strong “hands on” mechanical skills
