$16.80 - $23.10

Pay Rate: $24/hour

All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months. All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance or sponsorship is provided for the internship program currently.

Position Summary:

**Immun** **e** **profiling for Antibody Discovery** **:** We seek a highly motivated graduate intern to join our discovery team. You will work within a highly dynamic and creative group and be responsible for the development of antigen-specific single B-cell platform for antibody discovery. The intern will collaborate with scientists within the antibody division to develop new technologies for isolating antibodies against challenging targets.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop throughput flow cytometry-enabled isolation ofsingle B-cell isolation methodologies.

+ Characterization of antigen-specificB-cell subsets from PBMCs and splenocytes relating to antibody responses.

+ Immunoassay-based screening of B and plasma cells.

+ Use molecular biology techniques for cloning IgG.

**Program Requirements** :

+ Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a graduate-level degree in a field relevant to the internship.

+ Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program.

Experience Qualifications:

+ Hands-on experience in cellular and molecular immunology techniques.

+ Experience in molecular biology techniques, cell culture, real-time PCR, basic bioinformatics, etc.

+ Working knowledge of flow cytometry and live cell sorting.
