Job Description
Director- Mount Sinai International-Corporate-Full-Time
Mount Sinai International, LLC (“MSI”) has created a line of consulting, education, training and clinical knowledge transfer services and co-branded products and services whereby it seeks to leverage the collective expertise and experience of the Mount Sinai faculty and staff and the intellectual property with respect to protocols, policies and procedures and provide medium and long-term collaborative relationships with external clients across the globe. These programs provide the opportunity for increased revenue to the institution through targeted consulting and management engagements with public and private institutions abroad. MSI is responsible for implementing, managing and growing these strategic international relationships.
Reporting to the President, Vice President or Executive Director, Mount Sinai International and working closely with other Mount Sinai International leadership, the Director, Mount Sinai International is responsible for supporting and leading Mount Sinai’s International activities, including the direction and oversight of Mount Sinai’s international relationships / projects / programs in select countries and regions. The Director will also work closely with other Mount Sinai International leaders to support special projects, programs, and initiatives.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor?s Degree required,Master?s Degree in Management (MBA, MPA, MHA) in healthcare or related field is strongly preferred.
+ 7 years minimum of experience in healthcare administration; experience in business planning and execution, formulating policy, building and developing financial plans, managing resources and leading successful teams.
+ MS Office Suite (Advanced)
+ Other: Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook
+ International travel as required

+ Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills in English
+ Foreign language skills, such as Spanish or Arabic, are preferred

Responsibilities
Under the direction of the President / Vice President / Executive Director, Mount Sinai International, the Director will develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective foreign partners, MSI personnel, Mount Sinai faculty and staff, vendors, and other collaborators as required. As part of these main duties and responsibilities, the Director will:
1. Direct business development activities in the assigned countries and regions, including:
1. Gathering market intelligence and competitive intelligence,
2. Developing and implementing geography-specific business development plans,
3. Identifying prospective foreign partners,
4. Developing new relationships with foreign partners, and
5. Support the growth of MSI’s global relationship portfolio.
2. Direct assigned client relationships, projects, and workstreams, including:
1. Creating and implementing detailed knowledge transfer deliverables, schedules, and work plans,
2. Ensuring the implementation of knowledge transfer deliverables and schedules by assigned MSI personnel and Mount Sinai faculty and staff,
3. Serving as a day-to-day contact with foreign partners and guiding the interaction of assigned MSI personnel and Mount Sinai faculty and staff with foreign partners,
4. Monitoring, tracking, and documenting knowledge transfer activities, resource utilization against work plans, while utilizing MSI project management tools and standard operating procedures.
5. Preparing budgets for, and managing financial performance of assigned projects and workstreams, including invoicing, collections, payments to Mount Sinai departments and vendors, and related project activities
6. Developing suggestions to improve and enhance client deliverables or expand relationship scope, and
7. Trouble-shooting project issues and problems as they arise.
3. Participate in MSI human resources development, including recruitment, onboarding, development, appraisal, supervision of employees, and the engagement of external consultants.
4. Identify process and workflow improvement opportunities and implement best practices for greater efficiency within MSI. Participate in process improvement, evaluate and optimize workflows where applicable.
5. Coordinate and interface with other Mount Sinai departments to facilitate Mount Sinai International activities, including clinical departments, system hospitals, the medical school, international patient services, audit and compliance, legal, finance, information management, human resources, and marketing.
6. Oversee assigned MSI personnel to ensure compliance with established practices and implement new policies.
7. Assures compliance with regulatory, insurance and ethical standards regarding safety of patients, employees and property. Identifies contingency plans for potential risks.
8. Travel internationally as required to develop and maintain foreign partnerships and to direct assigned projects and workstreams.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Compensation Statement
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $140000 - $230000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
