The Position: IT System Administrator

Employment Status: Full-time

Hours per two-week pay-period : 80

Essential Job Functions:

+ Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services.

+ Manage virtualization infrastructure Hyper-V and VMware, including provisioning, performance monitoring, and disaster recovery planning.

+ Lead and coordinate daily activities of the IT team, ensuring timely resolution of tickets and proper workload distribution.

+ Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning and resource optimization.

+ Maintain backup and recovery strategies across on-prem and cloud environments (e.g., Veeam, Azure Backup).

+ Oversee patch management and vulnerability remediation for servers, workstations, and endpoint devices.

+ Implement and maintain security controls in alignment with organization policies and HIPAA compliance standards.

+ Document systems, configurations, procedures, and network diagrams for knowledge base and audit purposes.

+ Collaborate with other departments to identify IT needs and propose effective technical solutions.

+ Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues unresolved by frontline technicians.

+ Manage user lifecycle operations including onboarding/offboarding, access control, and role-based permissions.

+ Lead IT projects from planning to implementation, coordinating with vendors and stakeholders.

+ Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical systems when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma

+ Valid Driver-s License

+ 5 years in a Server management, System Administration, System Engineer type role
