    Job Summary:

    The Associate Designer, Accessories, will play an integral role in the design process from conception to final prototype. Including, but not limited to: Seasonal concepting, CAD sketching, Creating and maintaining seasonal assortment boards, Coloring and detailing, and creating/updating sampling specs. This position will maintain effective collaborative relationships and help to maintain the unique look, integrity, and vision of the brand.

    Responsibilities:

    Key Accountabilities:

    + Execute designs in both soft and hard Accessory categories (ex, Handbags, backpacks, sunglasses, cold weather hats and gloves, socks, belts, hats)

    + Create and execute designs with a focus on styling back to the seasonal apparel concepts and trends

    + Research new trends seasonally and stay updated on social media to react to viral trends

    + Ensure that detail/sampling packages are accurate and complete and hand off to appropriate team members and overseas teams on time

    + Develop strong working relationship with design counterparts to ensure cohesive point of view

    + Communicate effectively with appropriate partners to ensure product execution according to design intent

    + Provide input at concept meetings

    Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in design or related field

    + 3+ years of experience in design or related field

    Skills and Behaviors

    + Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite

    + Ability to understand, interpret, and implement in a collaborate effort the design direction relative to cost, technical guidelines, duty structures, and coordinating back to the apparel and footwear lines

    + Proficient in pattern correcting and the ability to communicate these corrections to technicians in factories on site and via e-mail when off site

    + Strong organization and verbal and written communication skills

    + Strong prioritization skills and management of workload

    + Must be a team player with ability to interact with all levels of organization

    + Strong listening skills and a passion for product
