Your Key Responsibilities

+ Ensure creation and enforcement of intellectual property rights for the company in all countries with business operations and ensure the intellectual property rights of competitors are not infringed.

+ Develop and implement a comprehensive intellectual property strategy.

+ Facilitate filing processes and obtain patents and trademarks for Schaeffler at the respective patent and trademark offices.

+ Provide advice on IP matters and related support for all affected entities of Schaeffler (e.g., R&D, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain Management).

+ Collaborate with international external service providers, especially with patent attorneys, for filing and defending intellectual property rights.

+ Maintain complete overviews of all intellectual property rights and disputes of Schaeffler, including risk assessments and patent terms.

Your Qualifications

Required:

+ Juris Doctorate Completed

+ Patent Bar Completed

+ 10 plus years' experience

+ External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship

Preferred:

+ Experience leading a team of IP attorneys / Paralegals

+ Experience working with in-house counsel
