FECON, LLC is a vegetation management equipment manufacturer located in Lebanon, Ohio near Kings Island Amusement Park. Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Controller with the accounting processes necessary to prepare financial statements that meet all regulatory and accounting guidelines.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Prepare monthly journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations. Researches and corrects account discrepancies by analyzing and collecting account information.
+ Responsible for reconciling daily cash flows as well as monthly bank reconciliations.
+ Participate in the month-end closing process.
+ Support Controller with general ledger accounting in accordance with GAAP.
+ Prepare schedules requested for year-end financial statement audit and annual tax review. Develops and updates schedules during the year to ease year-end burden.
+ Prepares sales/use tax returns, Canadian Revenue Agency returns, or other tax filings as required by local jurisdictions.
+ Handle fixed asset accounting requirements.
+ Complete 1099 tracking and printing.
+ Assist with development and updating of financial policies and procedures. Maintain financial security by following internal controls and verifying documentation.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
+ Working knowledge of automated accounting systems.
+ Extensive experience utilizing Microsoft Office suite of products.
+ Sound administrative skills. Well-developed management skills - principles and personnel.
+ Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities.
+ Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
+ Superior numeric skills.
+ Well organized.
+ Participative management style, advocates team concept.
+ Ability to establish credibility and be decisive; able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities.
Education and Experience:
+ B.S. degree in accounting
+ MBA or CPA designation preferred
+ 2-5 years minimum public accounting or corporate accounting experience.
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to talk and hear to enable effective communication.
+ Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
+ Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
+ Vision abilities required by this job to read and write.
