    Description

    Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Oncology department located at our Ridgefield CT facility. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented co-op student to join our Immunology Research team. The successful candidate will assist in staining histology samples using multi-color panels to help identify and characterize immune archetypes. This position offers hands-on experience in a cutting-edge research environment and the opportunity to contribute to impactful scientific discoveries.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    + Perform transfections and maintain cell cultures.

    + Conduct flow cytometry experiments and analyze data.

    + Work with ex vivo tumor samples and perform related assays.

    + Assist in the development and optimization of experimental protocols.

    + Collaborate with team members to advance research projects.

    + Collaborate with team members to interpret and present data.

    + Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and procedures.

    Requirements

    + Major or minor in related field such as Molecular biology, Cancer biology, or Immunology.

    + Must be a current graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing

    + Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship

    + Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred

    + Graduate and Advanced Degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university

    Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:

    + Advanced understanding of Immune oncology (IO) and IO resistance principles.

    + Experience with laboratory techniques, including cell culture, tumor processing, FACS acquisition and analysis, ELISA and other laboratory techniques.

    + Familiarity with analysis software like FLOW JO and DIVA is a plus.

    + Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

    + Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

    + Must be 18 years of age or older
