Compensation Market Job Description

Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment | Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairs units or products that have failed to meet requirements. The maintenance supervisor will provide leadership to the entire maintenance department with a clear vision for a value-added maintenance team with a strong focus on reliability. This individual will be responsible for supervising and leading the maintenance team in such a way that promotes a safe, positive, productive, and engaged work environment as well as encourages total employee involvement. Will supervise and or support all aspects of maintenance including, but not limited to, workforce scheduling, spare parts availability, special projects, reliability of equipment, inspection process, preventive maintenance functions, parts ordering, record keeping, etc. Must have reasonable knowledge of complex mechanical and electrical repair procedures, mechanical drive trains and components, basic electrical systems, and plant infrastructure, i.e., boilers, air compressors, and process water systems. Expected to be flexible on schedule arrangements, including weekends.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities

Safety Management

• Promote a Culture of Zero by continuously monitoring safety rules and requirements (i.e. dress code/PPE/reporting requirements/machine guarding)

• Lead the completion of Incident Investigations at the time of the event, including root cause and corrective action. Responsibility to escalate.

• When necessary, complete risk assessments and hazard recognition

• Respond to employee safety concerns in a timely manner

• Communicate safety violations, employee safety concerns and/or identified safety hazards to management

• Create Maintenance Work Order for alteration or repair of safety hazards

• Assist with development of safe work procedures and/or job hazard analyses

• Participate in safety initiatives and facilitate participation

• Single point of contact for site evacuation/shelter in place

Human Capital:

• Document work performance and administer discipline

• Employee Engagement and responding to eNPS identified priority drivers

• Acts as a Management Representative during off-business hours (such as weekends and holidays) - shift rotation

• Participates in turnover analysis

• Staffing control – manage vacations, leaves, job movements, etc. to ensure adequate staffing

• Participate in interviews of new candidates

• Establish training plans to include new hires, new to position, cross training, etc.

• Approval of employee’s timecard in ADP on a daily basis
