Professional Rank and Salary Range: SL-2, $33.33/hour
Duration: Temporary, Part Time approx. 20 hours/week; Position runs July 2025 - May 2026
Brief Description of Duties:
SUNY Morrisville is seeking a Part-time: Direct Support Professional (DSP) Micro-credential Program Coordinator provides leadership to SUNY Morrisville's DSP Micro-credential Program. The DSP Coordinator provides oversight to a collaboration between the College, community partners, the State University of New York (SUNY), the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP). This collaboration offers free college courses at SUNY Morrisville to employees of OPWDD-certified community partner organizations. Oversight will include student orientation and registration of current and new DSP cohorts and monitoring of student progress and success. In addition to providing oversight on the project, the DSP Program Coordinator may also teach micro-credential courses.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Collaborate with agency partner
+ Facilitate planning meetings between SUNY Morrisville and External Partners (ACHIEVE, Catholic Charities) for the design and development of the DSP micro-credentials
+ Trouble shoot any issues related to getting students enrolled in courses and oriented to the NADSP badging process.
+ Support ongoing partnership toward sustainability of the micro-credential program (once the funding has ended).
+ Provide oversight to adjunct instructors
+ Meet with to collaborate on the structure of courses to facilitate the achievement of both the course learning outcomes and the completion of NADSP badges.
+ Facilitate team meetings between adjunct instructors and Success Coach to foster communication on student outcomes.
+ Provide oversight to Success Coach
+ Train Success Coach in the design and development of services to provide student support.
+ Facilitate team meetings between adjunct instructors and Success Coach to foster communication on student outcomes.
+ Serve as liaison between SUNY Morrisville and SUNY System/OPWDD
+ Attend ongoing meetings related to the micro-credential program.
+ Provide feedback to SUNY on program outcomes as requested.
+ Provide feedback to OPWDD on program outcomes as requested.
+ Provide SUNY System quarterly budget updates.
+ Serve as network administrator for NADSP Badging system
+ Set up badging for new students through NADSP.
+ Monitor progress of students through the NADSP technology platform.
+ Get paperwork on course completion to NADSP for student badging.
+ Serve as liaison to the DSP Planning Team (SUNY Morrisville)
+ Provide data on student progress as requested by principal investigators
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
+ A bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a closely related field.
+ 2+ years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
+ A master's degree in human services, social work, or a closely related field is required.
+ A background in a supervisory or leadership position.
+ Teaching experience at the college level.
+ Experience with assessment of student learning.
