Job Description:

At Regions, the Structured Products Lead is responsible for identifying, structuring, underwriting, and monitoring the group's structured lending and bond transactions. The Lead works in deal team format, managing transaction analysis and execution (due diligence, cash flow modeling, risk assessment, document negotiation) across a broad range of consumer and commercial asset classes.

Primary Responsibilities

+ Markets, structures and underwrites the group's transactions

+ Implements Regions' strategy for transaction origination and the negotiation of structure, terms, and pricing

+ Partners with coverage bankers and group originators to generate leads for new business

+ Manages transactions from client engagement through closure, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders such as collateral auditors, lawyers, etc.

+ Takes an active role in ongoing client relationship management

+ Ensures consistent application of Regions' policy and adherence to regulatory, financial, and legal standards

+ Responsible for the ongoing risk management of their portfolio

+ Provides leadership and training to analysts and associates on the Structured Products team

+ Lead other ad-hoc projects, as needed

This position is incentive eligible.

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field from a reputable undergraduate institution

+ Nine (9) years of corporate banking experience with significant experience in the origination and management of Structured Products

Preferences

+ Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Skills and Competencies

+ Experience with regulatory interaction and expertise with regulatory rules pertaining to risk

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills

+ Excellent problem solving skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions and timelines

+ Strong analytical & quantitative skills

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
