Document Control Technician, Lead
Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division is a leading provider of advanced technologies and services for the global nuclear power industry. We are seeking a meticulous and organized Document Control Technician, Lead to establish and maintain comprehensive electronic document control, storage, and backup procedures under a rigorous NQA-1 compliant Quality Assurance Program. This role is critical in supporting both our software development teams and our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of document management systems, best practices, and formal quality assurance principles, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring data integrity.

Your Challenge:
+ **Establish and Implement Electronic Document Control Systems under NQA-1**
+ Develop and implement robust electronic document control procedures for all types of documentation, including software code, manufacturing shop travelers, project plans, and procedures, ensuring compliance with NQA-1 requirements.
+ Configure and manage document management systems (DMS) to ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and version control within the framework of our Nuclear Quality Assurance Program.
+ **Manage Software Code Change Control under NQA-1:**
+ Implement and maintain version control systems for software code, ensuring accurate tracking of changes and releases, adhering to NQA-1 standards.
+ Collaborate with software developers to enforce code change management procedures within the established QA program.
+ **Control Manufacturing Documentation under NQA-1:**
+ Manage the control and distribution of manufacturing shop travelers, project plans, and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards and NQA-1 requirements.
+ Maintain organized and accessible electronic records of all manufacturing-related documents, ensuring traceability and compliance with QA procedures.
+ **Develop and Maintain Backup and Recovery Procedures under NQA-1:**
+ Establish and implement data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical documentation, ensuring data integrity and compliance with NQA-1 record retention requirements.
+ Conduct regular backups and verify data integrity, maintaining detailed records as required by the QA program.
+ **Ensure Compliance and Auditing:**
+ Ensure all document control processes comply with industry regulations, company policies, and NQA-1 requirements.
+ Participate in internal and external audits related to document control and the Quality Assurance Program.
+ **Train and Support Staff:**
+ Provide training and support to staff on document control procedures, the use of document management systems, and NQA-1 requirements.
+ Create and maintain documentation and user guides, including those related to QA procedures.
+ **Continuous Improvement:**
+ Identify and implement improvements to document control processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy, while maintaining compliance with NQA-1.
+ Monitor and report metrics related to document control performance and QA compliance.
What You Bring:
+ **Due to the nature of work performed at this site, incumbents must be a U.S. Person.**
+ Associate's or bachelor’s degree in information management, Library Science, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
+ Experience working under a formal Quality Assurance program, specifically NQA-1, is highly desirable.
+ Proven experience in document control, preferably in a manufacturing or software development environment.
+ Strong knowledge of document management systems (DMS) and version control software.
+ Familiarity with software code change control processes.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Experience in a Nuclear environment is a plus.
