    _This role is a full-time, fully benefited contract.     _As the_ **_Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for providing quality engineering support for manufacturing. _** _Established and productive individual contributor in a scientific/technology field._ **_Creates, under general supervision, Quality Engineering schematics, detailed layouts, and subsequent comprehensive supply chain outputs, as well as associated key performance metrics, goals, and objectives._** _Works collaboratively with management to drive decisions regarding Quality Engineering methods to produce leading-edge customer-tailored engineering final deliverables._

     

    _The_ **_Quality Engineer_** _will be responsible for providing quality engineering support for manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have experience supporting_ **_complex electro-mechanical, software-controlled systems for medical applications._** _This individual will work with engineering teams within the company. This position requires knowledge of_ **_medical device regulatory_** _environment (FDA, MDD, ISO 13485). Candidates should also have knowledge and experience to support qualifications and_ **_manufacturing/testing requirements like TMV and protocol development,_** _and_ **_risk management_** _per FDA, ISO 14971, and other applicable medical devices standards._

    _Job Description_

    + _Identifies improvement opportunities for Quality Engineering Supply Chain project plans, key milestones, and objectives to ensure deliverables are aligned with customers’ operational needs and requirements._

    + _Identifies, under limited supervision, any Quality Engineering non-conformance, subsequent corrective, and preventive actions, by documenting, investigating, and conducting root cause analysis, and successfully implementing corrective actions._

    + _Examines capital and expense forecasts for assigned Quality Engineering projects, to ensure outputs adhere to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements._

    + _Performs process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ or TMVs) on current and new Quality Engineering processes for subsequent operational integration and supply chain implementation._

    + _Will be responsible for creating or actively supporting risk analyses and FMEA's._

    + _Facilitates supervision of Quality Engineering Technicians by supporting and enforcing site-specific safety and industrial hygiene requirements._

    + _Communicates and escalates in a timely manner, any Quality Engineering issues, or concerns to the next management level._

    + _Coach more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities._

    + _Understands and applies companies credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team._

    + _While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to attend meetings, observe in labs or the manufacturing area. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, or walk._

    + _This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are flexible Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m._

    + _Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand._

    _Required Qualifications_

    + _Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering_

    + **_2-4 years of quality engineering experience supporting manufacturing in a_** **_medical device company_**

    + _Experience supporting complex_ **_electro-mechanical, software-controlled systems_** _for_ **_medical applications_**

    + _Experience with pFMEAs, Test Method Validations, Root Cause Analysis, CAPAs, Non-Conformance Management, and Process Validations_

    + _Analytical and problem-solving skills_

    + _Ability to work in a regulated environment in compliance with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820_

    + _This position will be located in Santa Clara, CA site and may require up to 10% domestic or international travel_
