    The Opportunity

     

    Perform emergency and routine preventative machinery maintenance, building maintenance and office maintenance.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform emergency and routine preventative machinery maintenance, building maintenance, and office maintenance.

    + Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs.

    + Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.

    + Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to work order specifications.

    + Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, jacks, cranes, or hoists.

    + Maintain production times, repairs, and machine preventative maintenance information and costs in PMXpert.

    + Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.

    + Build rapport with outside vendors using phone and email communications.

    + Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.

    + Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished.

    + Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using fork trucks, cranes, or dollies.

    + Maintain utilities to prevent downtime.

    + Maintain forklift license.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + Four-year high school education

    + Two to four years of related experience.

    + Valid state Drivers’s License required.

    + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication.

    + Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.

    + This position requires the ability to follow company policy and procedures and to interact frequently with current vendors and employees.
