Position Title: General Assembler/Laborer

AGI Hi Roller manufactures a line of premier commercial enclosed, dust-tight and self-reloading conveyors, designed for installation in grain handling facilities, soy and corn processing operations and industrial operations. It specializes exclusively in the design and application of conveyors which will not only contain dust and spilled materials but will also automatically reload that material back on the carrying surface of the belt.

The Opportunity

Join the Hi Roller team as a General Assembler/Laborer and help build top-quality grain conveyors from scratch. You’ll be responsible for various types of general assembly of conveyor components using various types of hand tools to include corded, non-corded and pneumatic.

The Team

Our large production team consists of welders, assemblers, metal fabricators, powder coaters, and more. As an Assembler you will collaborate with your Production Supervisor and peers to assemble top-quality grain conveyors for our customers.

Responsibilities

Safety Compliance

+ Follow all company policies and procedures

+ Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and incidents to the supervisor and safety coordinator (as required)

+ Complete applicable documentation

+ Basic understanding of the Safety Management System and ability to review, complete and sign off on forms and documents

Work Operations

+ Support continuous improvement initiatives

+ Demonstrate a positive attitude towards change and company vision

+ Be proactive in requirements regarding material, tool and inventory needs

Quality Compliance

+ Ensure quality checks of products are completed as required

+ Report any quality concerns to lead hand or supervisor

+ Accurately complete scrap tickets, travelers and shift reports

Technical Operation

+ Read and understand blueprints, specifications and drawings

+ Understanding of how to arrange parts and staging of materials

+ Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements

+ Review of finish parts to ensure accuracy against drawings and BOMs

+ Follow all SOP’s and SWI’s required for the departments

+ Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions as required

Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

+ Experience in a manufacturing setting a plus

+ Ability to work safely

+ Ability to handle repetitive tasks

+ Ability to lift and maneuver 55 pounds repeatedly

+ Ability to operate overhead crane and forklift (if applicable)

+ Ability to read, understand and follow blueprints

+ Ability to read and interpret a tape measure

+ Ability to complete basic mathematics (addition and subtraction)

+ Ability to use basic hand tools

+ Ability to read, write, and interpret English language

+ Have great attention to detail

+ Have exemplary attendance record

+ Willing to perform a variety of tasks
