    + **Shift Hours:** 3:00 AM - 11:30 AM

    + **Weekend Work:** Every other

    + **On Call:** No

    Responsibilities:

    The Lab Medical Assistant III is responsible for:

    + Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing

    + Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens

    + Referring specimens to outside laboratories

    + Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests

    + Performance of phlebotomy procedures

    + Performs other duties as assigned

    Credentials:

    + Driver's License in the State of Florida

    + Required ASPT (Phlebotomy Technicians)

    + **Or** ASCP

    + **Or** AMT (Medical Technologists)

    + **Or** Paramedic

    + **Or** EMT (Emergency)

    + **Or** Medical Technologist

    + **Or** Medical Technologist Eligible to obtain

    + **Or** LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the State of Florida

    + **Or** RN (Registered Nurse) in the State of Florida

    Education:

    + Required High School or equivalent

    Experience:

    + 6 months in phlebotomy and 6 months BayCare related - Required

    + 1 year of phlebotomy - Preferred
