Job Summary:

Established cardiothoracic surgery program at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia is seeking an experienced cardiothoracic surgeon.

Qualified Candidates:

+ 5+ year of experience preferred

+ Robotics training/experience preferred

+ Robotic lung experience is a plus, but not required

+ Must be comfortable with non-cardiac pulmonary procedures

+ TAVR experience is required

+ Qualified candidates must have experience with open cardiac procedures: CABG, mitral and aortic valve, and aortic replacements (including dissections)

+ Must be board certified within 5 years of completing training

+ Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

+ Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Virginia

+ Must be a lawful permanent resident or legal member of the US

+ Leadership opportunity available, if desired

+ Team includes 7 cardiologists, 1 cardiothoracic surgeon and 5 advanced practice providers
