    Job Title: Digital Transformation IT Services Manager (Accelerated Technologies)

    Within HCA Healthcare's Information Technology Group (ITG), the Accelerated Technologies department is integral to enabling the Company’s strategic focus of transforming care and enhancing care quality. ITG Accelerated Technologies supports development and delivery of various products, features, and functionality used by clinicians and operators across the Company. The team also heavily partners with the Digital Transformation & Innovation (DT&I) department which is responsible for bringing innovative technology solutions to the clinical, operational, and administrative frontlines of HCA Healthcare. As the DT&I department is being formed, centralizing digital, AI, & machine learning efforts for HCA Healthcare, work is accomplished through cross-functional teams where business & technology experts collaborate to solve business problems with technology.

     

    Job Summary & Responsibilities

     

    As the Digital Transformation IT Services Manager within ITG Accelerated Technologies, you will serve as the key liaison between the IT organization and Digital Transformation & Innovation (DT&I) product teams. This role is responsible for managing staffing coordination, optimizing IT service delivery, and continuously improving IT processes to enable HCA Healthcare to successfully deliver on our strategic digital & AI priorities. This ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying resource needs, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and enhancing ways of working to drive efficiency and effectiveness across product teams.

    Direct responsibilities include:

    Staffing & Workforce Planning

    • Establish and manage a structured process for intaking and handling IT staffing requests from DT&I.

    • Meet regularly with DT&I Domain Owners, Product Owners, & Technical Leads to proactively identify upcoming needs for IT colleague support and/or staffing within product pods.

    • Track and manage staffing requests across multiple teams, ensuring transparency and timely fulfillment in alignment with established process KPIs/SLAs.

    • Communicate proactive updates on staffing progress & escalate challenges timely as needed.

    Process Improvement: IT Service Optimization

    • Educate DT&I Domain Owners, Product Owners, and Technical Leads as well as IT key IT stakeholders on staffing workflows and service processes.

    • Guide DT&I and IT stakeholders through the staffing request process, ensuring efficiency and process compliance.

    • Through routine touchpoints with DT&I Domain and Product pod stakeholders, identify process improvement opportunities pertaining to IT services and processes.

    • Partner with key stakeholders to garner support for and operationalize IT improvement activities to enhance IT service delivery for digital & AI innovation teams.

    Process Improvement: DT&I Operations

    • Establish and manage a structured feedback loop for IT colleagues staffed on DT&I pods.

    • Conduct periodic surveys and facilitate direct engagement sessions with IT team members to gather insights around areas such as onboarding, work efficiency, & agile work management practices.

    • Share findings & recommendations with key stakeholders in IT and DT&I to gain consensus on areas to prioritize for improvement.

    • Partner with key stakeholders to garner support for and operationalize IT improvement activities to enhance IT / DT&I operational processes for improved team efficiency & effectiveness.

    Dependency Management & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Establish and maintain relationships with key DT&I and IT stakeholders

    • Act as first line of support for critical dependencies escalated by DT&I pods related to IT teams / deliverables, ensuring alignment and prioritization across various IT teams.

    • Ensure stakeholder awareness of critical dependencies, define plans to address dependencies / mitigate risks, align stakeholders on go-forward strategies, & monitor through to resolution.

    • Provide regular reporting / insights on staffing, service performance, and operational challenges.

    Professional Skills

    • Strong understanding of enterprise IT processes & digital product development methodologies

    • Excellent stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and communication skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Self-starter, highly motivated individual contributor

    • Ability to multitask and work well delivering through others under deadlines/related pressures

    • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict gracefully

    • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills as well as creativity

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree required

     

    5+ years experience in service management, operations, product/business analysis, project/program management, consulting, or other relevant field
