    Description

    We are looking for a Special Project Assistant to join the team at Ridgeline at Canton Apartments in Canton, MI. This position will assist the Regional Facilities Manager with any and all special projects related to maintenance.

    Responsibilities:

    + Walking apartment to ensure they are ready for the city housing inspection.

    + Testing smoke detectors and logging results.

    + Ensuring that GFCI are installed where required and maintaining a log.

    + Installing smoke detectors if they are missing and maintaining a log.

    + Organizing keys for all inspections.

    + Ensuring that the proper keys are pulled and that they work properly.

    + Ensuring that apartments are ready for contractors.

    + Walking apartments to log condition.

    + Walking apartment as requested by maintenance, maintenance coordinator, community manager or regional manager.

    Qualifications:

    + Be responsible and reliable

    + Must have basic set of tools

    + Have a positive, get the job done attitude

    + Have grasp of on-site maintenance management

    + Two years of maintenance experience in multi-family/residential properties

    + Have general knowledge of make ready unit turns, including light carpentry, plumbing and electrical

    + Candidates must prove they have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
