Radiologic Technologist – Outpatient ServicesSign-On Bonus Eligible – Up to $10,000!Location: Outpatient ServicesStatus: Full-Time; Day Shift
What You’ll Do:
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a vital role in patient care by performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures under remote supervision. You’ll work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plans. Your work will primarily involve utilizing digital PACS systems in a patient-centered outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform radiographic procedures following established standard operating procedures (SOPs)
+ Properly position and transfer patients; provide necessary immobilization devices
+ Operate radiographic equipment and select appropriate exposure techniques to ensure image quality and patient safety
+ Ensure accurate image labeling with patient data and positioning markers
+ Adhere to ALARA radiation safety principles and wear appropriate badges at all times
+ Conduct weekly QC checks and clean digital cassettes as required
+ Clean radiographic equipment and accessories after each use
+ Maintain inventory by restocking rooms with necessary supplies and linens
+ Report malfunctioning or damaged equipment promptly to supervisor
+ Ensure compliance with safety standards including HAZMAT, fire protocols, and departmental policies
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization within imaging and office spaces
+ Collaborate with staff in all areas of the outpatient office when not performing imaging duties
+ Keep all necessary licenses and certifications current
+ Attend annual mandatory training sessions
+ Deliver age-appropriate care to a diverse patient population (neonate through geriatric)
What We’re Looking For:
+ Education: Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License (Required)
+ Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a clinical radiology setting
+ Certifications: BLS certification (required within 90 days of hire)
+ Strong communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality patient care
+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Physical Demands:
+ Frequent walking and standing (over 90% of the time)
+ Routine bending, stooping, and reaching
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist in moving patients
+ Pushing wheelchairs and stretchers is required
Exposure Category:
Category II – Tasks involve potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Some duties may occasionally involve Category I tasks (higher exposure risk).
