• Sr. Project Accountant

    Description

    Montgomery County, construction firm seeks a Sr. Project Accountant with excellent communication skills. This role will be responsible for generating project schedules, processing contractor billings, assisting with project cost tracking, bi-weekly payroll processing, high-volume invoicing, maintaining supplier documentation, investigating project variances, assisting with change orders, preparing financial reports, reconciling subcontractor billings, analyzing project profitability, providing billing structures, and review project expenses. This Sr. Project Accountant must have strong knowledge of construction related accounting software, solid communication skills, and excellent time management abilities.

    How you will make an impact

    • Create and monitor project accounts

    • Process subcontractor invoices

    • Provide profit analysis reports to management

    • Compile monthly project reconciliations

    • Monitor project budgets and cost allocation

    • Maintain documentation for compliance

    • Project Analysis

    • Assist with month/quarter-end process

    • Ad hoc projects as requested

    Requirements

    The ideal Sr. Project Accountant will preferably have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.

     

    Other requirements for the Sr. Project Accountant role include and are not limited to:

     

    • 3+++ years of project accounting experience

    • Construction accounting a big plus

    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

    • Excellent time management and communication skills
