Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Azure Data Architect in the Oil & Gas - Exploration & Production industry. The selected candidate will be based in Houston, Texas, 77024, United States. The primary role will be to design and deliver data platform solutions, focusing on data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data streaming. The Azure Data Architect will also be responsible for developing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines and engaging closely with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing modern data architecture patterns, including data lakes, Lakehouse, and data mesh

• Leveraging hands-on experience to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks and Data Lake architecture

• Architecting and delivering scalable, high-performance data solutions for structured and unstructured data using preferred cloud services on Azure

• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data integration, processing, and deployment

• Providing guidance on best practices for data modeling, data governance, and data integration across cloud and on-premises environments

• Collaborating closely with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and translate them into scalable technical solutions

• Communicating complex data architecture concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Driving the adoption of emerging AI and ML technologies by integrating AI-driven capabilities into data solutions for enhanced insights and decision-making

• Developing and maintaining data visualization and analytics solutions using tools like Power BI and Spotfire

• Ensuring data security, compliance, and performance optimization within cloud and hybrid environments

• Mentoring technical teams and providing architectural guidance throughout project delivery

• Gaining hands-on experience on data governance platforms such as Alation, Microsoft Purview, or Unity Catalog. Requirements • Minimum 10 years of detail-oriented experience in the Oil & Gas - Explor & Prod industry

• Proven experience as a Data Architect, specifically with Azure technologies

• Expertise in Azure Databricks is mandatory

• Proficiency in Databricks is a key requirement

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

• Relevant certifications in Azure and Databricks will be a plus

• Demonstrable experience in designing, building, and maintaining data architectures

• Knowledge of data management and visualization techniques

• Proven track record in creating and implementing complex data models

• Experience with data migration, data conversion, and data governance

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
