Maintenance Clerk - Pleasant Prairie

Shift: 1st shift

Job Summary: The Maintenance Clerk is responsible for coordinating functions for the Maintenance Department, including assisting with the maintenance of equipment and procurement of equipment and supplies to effectively plan all maintenance work projects. This role will partner with the Maintenance leadership team to provide recommendations to improve the Maintenance Department procurement record keeping processes and procedures.

Major Job Responsibilities:

Build PM program work orders

*

Schedule work orders and project work for the plant

*

Charge parts to appropriate work orders

*

Research quotes and lead times for non-stock parts Schedule and coordinate rebuilds

*

Investigate parts requirements for work orders, update work orders accordingly

*

Investigate part requirements for work orders, update work orders accordingly

*

Schedule and coordinate weekend and after-hours work

*

Set up yearly schedule for major downtimes and shutdowns of equipment and building

* Facilitate ordering and maintenance of department office supplies, maintaining proper inventory levels for designated areas

* Track and monitor inventory supply levels for tools and parts utilizing JDE software to maintain equipment information and documentation

* Assist with routine monthly equipment and building maintenance tasks by supporting WestRock\u2019s preventative maintenance schedules

* Prepare parts/equipment kits and make pick-ups accessible for mechanics/electricians to complete the job

* Receive inventory, create new labels, and enter new part numbers into JDE software

* Fulfill order replenishments of machine parts for maintenance technicians

* Research parts in Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) catalogue to identify cost-efficient parts and equipment

* Manage the parts inventory system including spare parts status, purchase requisitions for inventory replenishment, vendor parts pricing and vendor management, work order status, and warranty tracking

* Follow all general WestRock safety procedures

* Partner with the Reliability Manager to assess problems identified and validate parts needed on maintenance checklist

Technical Skills:

* Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

* JDE (JD Edwards) system

* CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

* Working knowledge of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) catalogue

* Mechanical Acumen

Experience:

* Previous experience in manufacturing maintenance environment

* Working knowledge of parts, electrical, mechanical knowledge, material purchasing and planning experience

* Parts inventory management system application experience - CMMS and JD Edwards

Education:

* Required: High School diploma or G.E.D.
