Job Summary
Prepares, develops and analyzes university related statistical data concerning students, course, employee, and university matters from internal and external sources. Responsible for reporting statistical data internally and externally.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
+ Complete ad hoc data requests by developing, analyzing, and reporting reports and queries.
+ Develop and maintain a university wide data literacy program to assist in campus community correctly interpreting institutional data.
+ Responsible for preparing, analyzing and reporting official data to the Federal Government (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System - IPEDS).
+ Design and implement predictive analytics and data modeling to forecast enrollment, retention, graduation, and finances.
+ Support the Director for Institutional Research and Associate Director for Institutional Research in handling requests for information.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in data science, computer science, social science or related fields; At least 2 years’ experience and/or training in analyzing data; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Comfortable with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access; Design Peoplesoft queries
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with data and numbers
+ Ability to prepare concise reports
+ Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
+ Excellent organization and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with use of Excel, PeopleSoft, Tableau; Demonstrated data quality control experience; demonstrated data literacy program experience.
