    Statement of Purpose: The Perinatal Technician assists the nursing staff with direct and indirect nursing care activities as well as environmental cleaning responsibilities. The Perinatal Technician provides a safe, visibly clean environment and works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The Perinatal Technician works as an integral part of the healthcare team, responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered. Prioritization of patient care tasks at hand and communication with the health care team members is an important factor in performing the duties of this role.

    Qualifications:

    Education: High School Diploma and/or equivalent

     

    Certification/License: Basic Life Support Certification

     

    Experience: Patient care experience preferred.

    MRMC Differentials:

    Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $5.00 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
