    Job Description:

    The Production Planner interfaces with multiple departments and organizations and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule.

    + Understand various manufacturing processes and methods.

    Essential Functions:

    + Communicate, Coordinate, and Negotiate workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met.

    + Provide assistance to production floor in resolving production issues.

    + Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.

    + Monitor order status, including material status, managing WIP areas, location accuracy, inventory discrepancies, manufacturing and program support, and communication support.

    + Ensure availability of materials to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Assists with resolving material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.

    + Lead schedule meetings for main production area.

    + Assist Sr. planners with daily tasks and documentation.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

    + Minimum 1 year of production planning experience

    + Minimum 2 years of professional experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint)

    Preferred Additional Skills:

    + Top Secret clearance preferred

    + Experience with ERP/MRP systems is preferred.

     

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $59,000-$110,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
