The Ground Systems & Services (GSS) Strategic Business Unit is responsible for driving business growth in the ground systems development, operations & sustainment, and technical services markets. This business unit focuses on designing, building and integrating ground systems in support of air and space-based assets, providing operational support for mission platforms and instruments and offering scientific and engineering expertise to our customers.
What You ll Do:
+ Oversee and manage flight test projects and serve as a liaison between project management and planning, developmental and operational test teams, line management, and product engineers.
+ Prepare project execution plan and identify technical and business resources needed.
+ Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports.
+ Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
+ Provide technical and analytical guidance to project and test teams.
+ Coordinate and manage flight test execution for the Air and Space Biosciences Division with focus on assessing physiological impact of flight. Activities include developing and managing test plans, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, data collection, and site visits to ensure successful test operations.
+ Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve project goals and objectives.
+ Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
+ Conduct technical analysis, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
+ Provide guidance and oversight to project team members, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
+ Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
+ Perform other duties as necessary.
**On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site three or more days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
+ Work is performed in a customer facility on Wright Patterson Air Force Base, with occasional travel to various flight test locations, including: Nellis AFB, Edwards AFB, and Eglin AFB.
+ Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ BS/BA in related field plus 8 or more years related experience. Related fields include Aerospace Physiology, Aeronautics, or Biomedical Engineering.
+ Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
+ A current, active Secret security clearance is required.
+ Proven experience in project management, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry, with a focus on human performance technologies.
+ Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and experience with project management tools and software.
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
+ Experience in Air Force Test & Evaluation (T&E) activities with knowledge of T&E principles, processes, and procedures.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118504 - $201457

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
