Description

Child Serve 's talented team of therapists specialize in pediatric rehab and work together to create plans specific to each child's need. In the role of Inpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PRN), you will provide comprehensive physical therapy services to children in our inpatient service at our Johnston location and residential group homes in the Des Moines metro.

+ Weekdays + Weekend hours available

What You'll Do

+ Assists physical therapist in providing interpretation and /or counseling of test results to clients/caregivers as well as ongoing feedback regarding progress.

+ Reviews medical, educational, social, and financial information on each child or young adult prior to initiation of treatment.

+ Provide interpretation and/or counseling of test results to clients/caregivers as well as ongoing feedback regarding progress.

+ Provide appropriate recommendations, equipment, referrals and/or follow-up for each case. Assist in the research/development of clinical practices and competencies.

+ Participate in internal quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities.

What You'll Need

+ Graduate of an APTA approved physical therapy assistant program

+ Pediatric experience preferred.

+ Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

+ Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
