    Job Description:

    + This position will support the plant in the role of water plant operation, laboratory duties, and environmental duties while maintaining client Values.

    Responsibilities:

    + Learn and ensure operation of water treatment plant to meet needs of steam units, combustion turbine units, and filter water / fire water system.

    + Learn to operate drinking water system to meet potable water nees while meeting ADEM requirements.

    + Lab duties to include boiler water analysis to ensure protection of plant assets while meeting requirements of GEN 6500, instrumentation calibration and maintenance.

    + Ability to analyze data and make sound recommendations for unit operation.

    + Willingness to work in a group and take on additional roles to support the department success.

    Experience:

    + Industrial experience preferred.

    + Oral and written communication skills. – Required.

    + Proficient use of computer applications.

    + Must have good problem solving / analytical skills and be able to trouble shoot complex systems.

    + Boiler water analysis and testing including QA/QC

    + Ability to operate and maintain bench top and inline analyzers

    + Must have working knowledge of safe work procedures

    Skills:

    + Water treatment plant operations.

    + Capable of becoming certified.

    + ADEM Water Operator (Grade II).

    Education:

    + BS in chemistry or related field, minimum of 12 semester hours in chemistry required.
